River Runner Archives

The Grand Canyon River Runners Association (GCRRA) launched THE GRAND CANYON RIVER RUNNER in 2005 primarily as a way for commercial river runners to share their experiences and reconnect with the river. It quickly became much more. Interwoven among the stories, poetry, art and photos of river runners are articles by recognized authorities on virtually every topic of relevance to Grand Canyon and, specifically, to the river corridor. Geology, history, archaeology, botany, insects, snails, seeps and springs, fish, conservation, river politics, bighorn sheep, boats, biographies and so much more, are within the pages of The Grand Canyon River Runner, issues 1 through 19. Following GCRRA’s dissolution as a nonprofit corporation, the River Runner newsletters are now permanently archived on the GCRG website. (see below). We think they’re really great, and we’re sure you will too. Happy reading!
